DURALAN II™ Heat Shield

Silver Cloud's Duralan II Heat Shield display filter windows provide protection to LCD displays from heat generated by infrared light. This added protection may enable displays to function more efficiently in applications where there is exposure to direct sunlight and the potential of heat buildup. A special film is laminated with other plastic materials that reflects infrared light, instead of letting it pass through the filter. At the same time, visible light is easily transmitted through the filter, enabling the display to be clearly viewed. In addition, depending on the application, Duralan II Heat Shield may also provide EMI/RFI protection.

Duralan II filters can be designed in custom thicknesses and are available with various hard-coated, anti-glare surface finishes. Silver Cloud custom fabricates all filters per your requirements.
